Orange Sultana Loaf
A good breakfast is important & essential for your growing kids and adults as well . This orange sultana loaf is great and healthy for growing kids as it contains calcium, vitamins and minerals
Ingredients
1 egg (lightly beaten)- 3 tsp grated orange rind
- 1 cup orange juice
- 3/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp margarine (melted)
- 1 cup sultanas
- 60g whole grain cereal (crushed)
- 2 cups self-raising white flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
Method
- Place egg, orange rind, orange juice, honey and margarine into a large bowl. Mix well.
- Add sultanas and the whole grain cereal , mix well.
- Stir through sifted dry ingredients ( white flour & baking powder).
- Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 14cm x 24cm loaf tin.
- Bake in a moderate oven ,180 degrees centigrade for 45-50 minutes.
- Cool before slicing
- You can cut the orange sultana loaf up to 16 slices.
